# Set a personal access code for a contact in your address book

## Introduction

How do you set a personal access code for a recipient in the Zivver WebApp? You use a personal access code when you want to send a secure message but cannot use the recipient’s mobile number. [Learn more about the use and security of an Access Code](https://docs.zivver.com/en/guest/verification-methods.html)

Zivver automatically saves the access code when you send a message with an access code. However, it is also possible to **predefine** a personal access code for recipients in your address book.

First, we will explain how to create a new contact. Go to Chapter 3 if your contact is already in your address book.

## Creating a new contact

1. Log in to the [WebApp](https://app.zivver.com/).
2. In the left sidebar, click **All contacts**.

_Recipients are automatically added to this list when you send them a Zivver message._
3. Click the _person_add_ button at the bottom.

_A new window will open._
4. Enter the email address.
5. Click Ok.

Note

The mobile number is used automatically if a mobile number is saved for the contact. A mobile number is more secure than an access code. [Learn more about the security of an SMS code and Access Code](https://docs.zivver.com/en/guest/verification-methods.html)
