# Store newly sent messages unencrypted in Sent Items

## Introduction

How to store securely sent messages unencrypted in the **Sent items** folder? This allows you to search the content of sent messages.

Info

This change only applies to newly sent messages. Older messages remain **encrypted** in the Sent Items folder.

## Procedure

1. In Outlook, click **Zivver**.

2. Click **Manage accounts**.

3. Next to the account for which you want to change the setting, click the _settings_ icon.

_A new window opens._

4. Make sure the checkbox **Use default** is unchecked for the option **Save sent Zivver messages unencrypted**.

Info

Unable to turn off this checkbox? Your administrator has configured this setting and prevented users from changing it.

5. Next to the option **Save sent Zivver messages unencrypted**, slide the switch to **On**.

_The switch turns black_.

6. Click Close.

7. Click OK.

Note

Enabling this option introduces a security risk. Other people with access to your computer can read your sent messages. Encrypted messages are only accessible when you log in with your Zivver account.
