# Request information securely

How do you request information securely, for example from a patient or client? If you send a Zivver message in Outlook with the Zivver Office Plugin, the recipient can reply securely without a Zivver account.

## Procedure

Refer to [Securely mailing external recipients](https://docs.zivver.com/en/user/officeplugin/references/send-secure-message-to-external-recipients.html). In your Zivver message, request the necessary information.
The recipient receives a notification message that explains, in a few steps, how to open the message, read it, and reply securely. The recipient does not need a Zivver account to send a secure reply.
