## How to open a Zivver message?

Zivver secures messages with encryption. Zivver also verifies, where possible, that the identity of recipients—such as yourself—is known to the sender. Different [verification methods](https://docs.zivver.com/en/guest/verification-methods.html) exist. The sender chooses which verification method will be used.
