# Delegate access to another user in an organization

## Introduction

This article explains how an administrator can grant access to a user to a different user account. This can be useful, for example, when a user goes on holiday and a different user must access their email.

## Grant access

1. Go to the [Accounts page in the Zivver WebApp](https://app.zivver.com/admin/accounts).
2. Click Manage next to the account you want to provide access to.
3. Scroll down to **Delegated access**.
4. Click Add delegated account.
5. From the **Delegated email address** list, choose the user to grant access.
6. Click Add delegation.

_The user receives an email to be notified of the change. The user is automatically logged in to this functional account in the Zivver desktop clients. Users can switch between accounts in the Zivver WebApp by clicking their profile picture and selecting an account from the list._
7. _Optional_: Under **Delegated access**, indicate whether you want recipients to see who is sending a message on behalf of this functional account. To do this, click Edit. The default setting for your organization can be seen on the [**Displayed sender**](https://app.zivver.com/admin/displayed-sender) page under the main menu **Recipient experience**.

_Users can send and receive messages securely from the functional account._

## Revoke access

1. Go to the [Accounts](https://app.zivver.com/admin/accounts) page.
2. In the **All types** dropdown box, select **Functional accounts**.
3. Click Manage next to the functional account.
4. Scroll down to **Delegated access**.
5. Click Delete next to the account.
6. Click Delete.

_The user no longer has access to the functional account._

## Switching to a user account

In the Office Plugin, users are automatically logged in to the accounts to which they have access. This can be another user account or a functional account.
