Returnpath CNAME

Returnpath CNAME

The Return-Path CNAME is used for processing non-delivery reports (“bounces”).

The Return-Path CNAME points the return path of Zivver emails back to Zivver. The benefits are:

When creating a CNAME record, you create a subdomain zivverbounce.<yourdomain> and point it to returnpath.zivver.com. This allows email providers to route bounce messages back to Zivver.

The administrator must create the subdomain zivverbounce.<yourdomain> and configure the CNAME record to point to it. Zivver only checks the zivverbounce subdomain for the existence of a CNAME record and ignores any other subdomains you may create and assign CNAME records to.

If a CNAME record is configured, do not set any other records for the same subdomain.
