# Synchronize "objectGUID" with Entra Connect in hybrid AD configurations

## Introduction

If your organization creates users in Zivver via Active Directory on-premises and authenticates users in Zivver via Entra ID credentials, it may be necessary to use [Entra Connect](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/hybrid/connect/whatis-azure-ad-connect) to synchronize **objectGUID** to your Entra ID.

## Synchronize objectGUID to Entra ID

01. Start **Entra Connect**.
02. Click **Configure**.
03. Select **Customize synchronization options**.
04. Click **Next**.
05. Sign in with an Entra ID account.
06. Click **Next**.
07. Choose a directory.

_The default selected directory is correct in most cases._
08. Click **Next**.
09. Filter by domain and organizational unit.
10. Click **Next**.
11. Under **Optional features**, select **Directory extension attribute sync**.
12. Click **Next**.
13. Select **objectGUID (user) \[Binary\]**.
14. Click **Next**.
15. Select **Start the synchronization process when configuration completes**.
16. Click **Configure**.

_objectGUID is now being synchronized to Entra ID._
