# Create a Rule in Exchange Online

To submit sent Zivver messages to the Zivver SMTP Server, you must filter them out to deliver them securely to the recipient. Otherwise, the server delivers those messages insecurely.

Do these steps to create a rule in Microsoft Exchange Online:

01. Go to the [Exchange Admin Center](https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/).
02. Click on **Mail flow** in the menu on the left.
03. Click on **Rules**.
04. Click on _add_ **Add a rule**.
05. Click on **Create a new rule**.
06. Enter `Zivver: Assisted Mail Submission` as the name.
07. Under **Apply this rule if \\***, select **The message headers…**.
08. Under **Select one**, select **matches these text patterns**.
09. Click on **Enter text**.
10. Enter `zivver-relay`.
11. Click Save.
12. Click on **Enter words**.
13. Enter `..*.` (that is 2 dots, 1 asterisk/wildcard, 1 dot).
14. Click Add.
15. Click Save.
16. Under **Do the following \\***, select **Redirect the message to**.
17. Under **Select one**, select **the following connector**.
18. Select the connector that you created in the previous section.
19. Click Save.
20. Click Next.
21. Enable the option **Stop processing more rules**.
22. Enable the option **Defer the message if rule processing doesn’t complete**.
23. Click Next.
24. Click Finish.
25. Click Done.

The rule is created but not enabled yet. Please make sure that the priority of all existing rules is correct. If the sent message needs to be processed by other rules first, make sure that the rule created for the Encryption Gateway has a lower priority.

As the rule is not enabled yet, no outbound message that matches the filter will be submitted to the Zivver SMTP Server. Enable the rule only when you are sure all priorities are correct.
