# Secure eSignatures Installation Manual

## Introduction

With Zivver Secure eSignatures, you can easily prepare and sign documents directly from your inbox. Follow these steps to set up Zivver Secure eSignatures.

This guide explains how to install Zivver Secure eSignatures via the Zivver Office plugin, that automatically checks for updates.

For larger organizations with a centrally managed rollout of the Office plugin, administrators can check if the installed version is at least the version listed below. If not, contact your Customer Success Manager or [create a support ticket](https://support.zivver.com/s/contactsupport?language=en_US) to receive the latest installation package.

## Step 1: Check if the Zivver Office Plugin is installed

1. Open the [Control panel](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/system-configuration-tools-in-windows-f8a49657-b038-43b8-82d3-28bea0c5666b) and go to **Programs > Programs and Features**.
2. Look for **Zivver Office Plugin** in the list.
3. If found, continue with [**Step 2**](https://docs.zivver.com/en/admin/esignatures/installation-manual.html#step2).
4. If not found, download [the latest version of the Zivver Office Plugin](https://downloads.zivver.com/officeplugin/latest/zivver.officeplugin.exe).
5. Follow the installation instructions.
6. After installation, continue with [**Step 4**](https://docs.zivver.com/en/admin/esignatures/installation-manual.html#step4).

## Step 2: Check if your Zivver Office Plugin is up to date

The latest version of the plugin is **v6.10.2**.

1. Open Outlook.
2. Go to the **Zivver** tab at the top and click on **About Zivver**.
   
3. Find the **Zivver Office Plug-in Version**.
4. Compare your version with the one mentioned above:
   - If it matches, great! Continue with [**Step 4**](https://docs.zivver.com/en/admin/esignatures/installation-manual.html#step4) to enable Secure eSignatures.
   - If it doesn’t match, continue with [**Step 3**](https://docs.zivver.com/en/admin/esignatures/installation-manual.html#step3) to update your plugin.

## Step 3: Update the Zivver Office Plugin

1. Remove the old plugin:
   1. Open the **Control panel** and go to **Programs > Programs and Features**.
   2. Find **Zivver Office Plugin** and double-click to uninstall it.
2. Download [the latest version of the Zivver Office Plugin](https://downloads.zivver.com/officeplugin/latest/zivver.officeplugin.exe).
3. Install the new version by following the installation instructions.
4. Now continue with [**Step 4**](https://docs.zivver.com/en/admin/esignatures/installation-manual.html#step4) to enable Secure eSignatures.

## Step 4: Enable Zivver Secure eSignatures

1. Download [the registry key](https://docs.zivver.com/downloads/officeplugin/esignatures/Zivver-Secure-eSignatures.reg).
2. Save the .reg file to your computer.
3. Double-click the file and follow the prompts.
4. Restart Outlook once the installation is complete.
